I get questions all the time about vasectomy reversal surgery. Being that I have years and years of trained experience as a vasectomy reversal surgeon. I thought I would provide a little Q& A for you on this blog...
Absolutely! It is a common misconception that a vasectomy reversal only involves connecting the pipes together right where you had the vasectomy (the more simple reversal or vasectomy). The truth is that if it has been more than 3 years since your vasectomy, then you may have developed a “second” area of blockage closer to the testicle that will require the more complex bypass reversal. It is important that your microsurgeon is comfortable doing both types of reversals! It is a good idea to see whether you may need the more complex bypass reversal!
Vasectomy reversal procedures are not to be taken lightly. Consult a trained surgeon who has certification to perform the surgery.
